I've highlighted today's top VPN picks in the rankings above - however, the VPN that's best for you will ultimately depend on your use case. Basically, what are you going to use the VPN for?

Is unblocking US streaming content your top priority? Do you need a privacy-focused provider? Or would you prefer a solid all-rounder?

With that in mind, here are a few other key criteria to keep in mind:
